thank you, very quite seriously, for making the greatest album ever even better.

i just wanted to say that i think it's quite amazing that Squib Cake: A Tribute To Jenni Black's Ass is completely invisible and non-existant according to Wikipædia, Goggle, and Pitchfork Media.

it just means the hundreds of people who enjoy this, the shining jewel of glory in the crown of Peoria punk rock, keep it a secret because they are terrified the world will find out what an amazing record it is. the record pretty much pisses all over "Now Playing In Peoria", "Corvette Summer", and "State Of Peoria: May 1997" and people who weren't involved with the record feel threatened by this reality. this is FUCKING AWESOME.

oh ... you don't have it? check this out:

and if you won't take my word for it, keep in mind that [info]girlafraid is all over it, being sexy as all get-out. i'm sure that's enough to make you listen.

Quick update than test I stole from Kat, Rhiannon, and Ray
Well I have been back in Carbondale a few days and things are going well. My dad is back in Centralia and he has started radiation treatments. He had been having chest pains the week before and went to the cardiologist and got tests done. They said he had fifty percent blockage in two of his arteries and he just need to take pills for it. Well , I think it was Tuesday, he woke up and had severe pain in his chest and went to the ER. They pretty much scanned him and sent him straight to Barnes in St. Louis. They found out that his Cancer, he has lung cancer, had come back. He has had it for awhile, since Christmas but went through chemotherapy and they said all that was left was thirty percent and decided to stop there. Well some of it grew back and grew around one of his arteries and putting pressure on it. So the doctors got his pain under control, with morphine and talked for a few days, keeping an eye on him, doing more tests, and talking, and decided to ship him home on July third, so he could go to Centralia, speak to his doctor and a radiologist. They all agreed that radiation would be the way to go, for the next five weeks, with the stipulation of the possibility of two more weeks after that and possible chemotherapy. The doctors were all really scared because if the tumor grows much bigger, it could rupture the artery and my dad will bleed to death. But so far so good. My dad is pain free due to the pills he is on, and going through radiation treatments that will hopefully shrink the tumor. So, so far, so good. I am optimistic about his treatments but worried, but of course, who wouldn't be. But, I am back in Carbondale, back to work, and trying to relax when I can and trying to help Kiersten plan our wedding.  So before I post the test I stole, I just want to thank my friends who posted comments on my hurried post. It meant a lot to me. And huge thanks to the Eel and Rhiannon for being awesome and helping me and Kat by watching and taking care of critters while we were trying to take care of my family. Well enough of that, on to the stolen test.

    1. You are not alone. You are walking in the woods. Who is with you?
    Kiersten

    2. You are walking in the woods. You see an animal. What kind of animal?
    Squirrel

    3. What interaction takes place between you and the animal?
It looks up at us, eating an acorn, studying us.

    4. You walk deeper in the woods. You enter a clearing, and before you is your DREAM house. how big is it?
Huge and old, made of brick. Six bedrooms, a kitchen, living room, dining room, basment, and a two car garage.

    5. Is your dream house surrounded by a fence?
Yes, an old school iron fence.

    6. You enter the house. You walk into the dining room and see the dining room table. What do you see on AND around it?
A floral center piece with place settings for six, and a cabnet full of collectables and pictures.

    7. You exit the house and a cup is on the ground, what kind is it?
A coffee cup, plain, white, and a little over sized, like it hold sixteen ounces instead of eight.

    8. What do you do with the cup?
Take it inside and wash it, it is my favorite mug.

    9. You walk to the edge of the property where you find yourself standing at the edge of a body of water. What kind of body of water is it?
A lake, big and expansive. But quite calm.

    10. How will you cross the water?
A little motor boat sitting at my dock.

What is incredible is that after slight hesitation at the start, this did not noticeably impair the speed at which I read.

it's not as good as CDNow, but i really like it for the "marketplace sellers"
i just bought seasons 2, 3, and 4 of Monk, the third season of Airwolf, and the entire UFO series for 150 bucks shipped.

if anyone is waiting on modules from me, it's very likely they'll be manufactured under the influence of these television shows.

i'll get around to those enormous box sets of the Granada Sherlock Holmes series, Inspector Morse, and Secret Agent later.

    Journey's End: a review
    okay.

so either that was the least offencive season finale of the RTD series so far, or we have been so beat-down by The Rusty And Murray Show that anything that doesn't involve Floaty Jesus Pixie Doctor is emotionally acceptable to the point at which it keeps us from vomiting.

    or it's both. definitely both.

    i feel victimised.

btw, The Horned God is welcome to give me oral sex. isn't that the polite way to put it?

my personal what i need to know show: my outerwear for this winter
not sure how i'm going to get either of these, but i'm sure it's just a matter of money and Doogling.

as far as particulars, if i go with a greatcoat i'm not sure if i want wool or leather, and if i go with an inverness cape i know for a fact i want a velvet collar and a purple lining. this would be the most pimp overcoat i can possibly imagine. the outer colour for either would be black.
